The presenter of our December meeting will be ERA Program Chairman Andrew Grahl. Andrew has a wonderful slideshow planned covering the following topics:
- Opening Days: The first day of streetcar operations for Milwaukee and Charlotte’s Blue Line will be shown as well as opening day scenes of the Hartford Line commuter railroad. Equipment destined for El Paso and Oklahoma City will also be previewed.
- Updates: Traction and railway views from 2018 visits to Boston, Chicago, Montreal, New Orleans and Toronto will be included.
- The Gaspé Peninsula: There will be a short railroad segment covering a very scenic trip to a distant part of Quebec.
- NYC-Area Update: News items from NYCT, Metro-North, LIRR and NJ Transit will be shown. Views of freight and harbor operations in NYC will also be included.
- Historical Kodachromes: Slides from the 1950s will be added to the presentation to highlight traction and railroad subjects from the past.
