Come With Us to the Largest Rapid Transit Yard in New York

The ERA is pleased to announce our return to the historic New York City Transit Complex at Coney Island. This facility, opened in 1926, is one of the largest in North America. It includes an overhaul and repair shop that services the entire subway and Staten Island Railway, a wheel and inspection shop (for rolling stock servicing the B, D, F, M, N and Q trains), and yards to store nearly 1,800 subway cars. Additionally, the facility contains two buildings on the National Register of Historic Places: the Electric Motor Repair Shop and the Coney Island Yard Gatehouse. There will certainly be no shortage of exciting things to see.

Join us for a day of exploring one of the marvels of the NYC Subway System. The tour will meet at the token booth at the Avenue X station on the F line at 10:00 AM and will last until approximately 1:00 PM. This facility is an active work site, so please wear sturdy footwear.

Ticket Price: $25 Per Person

As per NYC Transit requirements, each attendee must include a copy of their driver’s license (or for current NYC Transit employees, employee ID) with the ticket order form.

Please book your tickets ASAP! This tour will sell out fast. NYC Transit will accommodate groups of up to 35 people. We will include the first 35 people who sign up and also have provided the security documentation requested by NYC Transit. Send your order in by May 15, 2015.
